How It Began!

At UnveilinGLORY we’ve trained ourselves to ask one simple question, “What does God get?” Through this, we have learned to be concerned primarily for God’s reputation far more than ours. We seek to make God famous. (Remember, from Romans 11:36 we learn that everything is from Him, and through Him and to Him.)

And because the world sees America as a Christian nation (whether we are or not), a big part of God’s reputation comes through the President of the United States. As a result, we began mobilizing the body of Christ for the holiness of the president beginning in the year 2000. What the president does and how he reacts will represent Christ to the Muslims, the Buddhists, the Hindus and all other non-Christian religions.

When we began, we had hoped to sign up 31 people to fast (one per day). I sent out this idea to the 300 people on my email newsletter list hoping for a positive response. Within two weeks, I was inundated with requests from around the globe. God had touched it. We signed up thousands: republicans, democrats and independents—even believers from other nations! All felt a higher calling to God’s reputation.

Today the effort continues. Though our presidents change, the reputation our nation reflects onto God’s glory does not. Our primary motive remains the same: We seek to make God famous, to increase His glory among the nations. So we pray and fast for our president since he holds a piece of that puzzle.
